What's blooming in our yard

Spring 2008 - Rose bush gift from loving husband Steve.

After a long day playing with our adorable children, I went in our backyard to smell the roses and I couldn't resist snapping a shot of this beauty.

Name: Perfect Moment

Origin: Bred in Germany (1989) by Wihelm Kordes III (b. 1953).
Introduce in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co.
Class: Hybrid Tea Rose / Large-Flowered

Bloom: Red, yellow reverse, red edges, yellow undertones. Average diameter 4.25 Large full (26 - 40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the seasons. Medium, long buds.

Fragrance: Mild, fruity fragrance.

Habit: Medium, upright growth. Medium, matte, leathery foliage. 5 leaflets. Height up to 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm). Width of 30". (75 cm).

Parentage: New Day x Mercedes (floribunda, Kordes, 1974)
